Sunday School at St. Mary’s

Sunday School at 9am — in the Moody Wing (see below for directions)

Dr. Terra Nwobilor is the catechist in the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, Atrium I. This atrium is for children 3 years old through kindergarten. In this atrium, children prepare to share in the liturgical life of their faith community and have the opportunity to nurture their love of the Triune God.

Dr. Vickie Baselski and Dr. Marsha Callow are the Sunday School teachers for elementary school children. The goal of the Sunday School is to provide a joyful and enthusiastic atmosphere while learning about the Episcopal Church. The Sunday School lessons follow the liturgical calendar.

Finding the Moody Wing: Enter the Nave of the Cathedral from the parking lot, pass all the way to other side of the Cathedral and enter our Parish Hall, known as Martyrs Hall. Across the room and a little to the left, you’ll see the double doors. Enter here, go up the short set of stairs, and you’ll find the classrooms down the hall.

Diocesan Youth Events

Happening

The Episcopal Diocese of West Tennessee has a vibrant Happening Youth program and community.

Happening is a Christian experience presented by teenagers, for teenagers, with the help of clergy and lay adult leadership. The Happening program is meant to be one of the instruments within the Anglican Tradition of renewing the Christian church, so that the church may more readily respond to its call to spread the Kingdom of God throughout the world. It seeks to achieve this purpose by bringing young persons and adults to fuller personal knowledge of and relationship with God and to a deeper level of commitment and apostleship.  Applications will be posted here when they are available and all youth grades 10-12 are welcome to attend.
