Holy Communion Milestone Event

For families and elementary school children and friends in the Episcopal Diocese of West TN

Milestones of faith is a wonderful way to share faith stories, to grow in our faith with Jesus Christ and each other, and to bless one another. Often times parents struggle how to share faith and how to answer God questions. This Episcopal faith formation empowers us in our living and strengthens us in our discipleship.

St. Mary's Cathedral recently hosted this Christian formation opportunity for children and parents from around the diocese. Children painted their own chalice to be used as a blessing cup at home, explored the high altar and sacristy, discussed common Christian symbols, and learned about the multiple meanings we find in rite of holy communion. Parents enjoyed spending one-one-one time with their children. The blessing cups will be fired and distributed back to participating families through their parishes.
