The photographs in the Imago Dei* exhibit are inspired by the men and women who attend Wednesday morning worship and breakfast at St. Mary’s Episcopal Cathedral. Each week these friends, many of whom are housing-insecure and face tremendous daily challenges, are encouraged to see the image of God in themselves and in others. When asked how they view God and where they see God’s reflection in everyday life, the responses are rich and varied. I have done my best to translate their words into photographs that honor their contributions and, I believe, expand our understanding of God.

*Imago Dei rhymes with Chicago Day and is Latin for “Image of God.”
