A Message from Dean Gary
I have not accepted this new call lightly or without a great deal of prayer, thought, and deliberation. One of the most difficult elements to consider was just how deeply I will miss being a part of the Saint Mary’s family in worship, fellowship, and mutual ministry. We have not known each other long, but I feel we have known each other well. I will miss you all deeply.
This is a great place to gather for worship, to lift up our prayers, to raise our voices in song, and to find and renew ways to love God and our neighbor. During my time here, we have shared in some wonderful developments and opportunities, including improvements to the physical plant, growth in giving, and greatly improved attendance on Sunday mornings. Most importantly, we have shared in the love, enthusiasm, hope, and promise that is ours as followers of Jesus Christ.
During the interim period that begins in October, I am confident that you and this loving community will enter this new season in the life of the Cathedral with your characteristic resilience, humor, grace, and faith.
Serving as your interim Dean has been an amazing honor and a profound privilege. Thank you for your care, your patience, your grace, and the many blessings of your friendship. God bless you and our beloved Saint Mary’s.
Blessings,
The Rev. Gary Meade,
Interim Dean
